My mother has hidden treasures tucked away in all corners of her house. She doesn't realize it but primitive runs in her blood and it shows if you look closely to things in her home. In this first photo I grabbed five different items from five different places in her house to create the picture display. The last two displays are her own. I am, however, coveting the drawers and old books.
Lucky you! I am the only one who loves primitive in my family or friends here. It would be nice to see others displays in person. Great displays!

I love your moms displays, especially love those old decoware canisters.

I love the whole first display (way to go, Steph!), and I LOVE the drawers in the second one.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how other displays look in person. I can remember bits and pieces from my childhood. That makes the old-fashioned stuff antiques and lots of antiques are prim. Unfortunately, none of that is any homes I know of. I'm alone in prim around here! Just alot of antique stores--no prim ones.
ReplyDeleteLove your mom's jadeite shakers. I collect jadeite. And I have a set of canisters very similar, but they are in my summer kitchen.
Love anything wood that has survived the ages!

That first photo is prim perfect Steph!! Love the folk art bird and the pottery....And those drawers are wonderful too!! You'd have to search long and hard to find any prim touches in my mom's house - she still shakes her head when she comes to my house - doesn't understand why I would want something so old and ratty when all her life she would have given anything to have something "new." Ah well....so goes the generations!! Happy Wednesday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
