A Smile on a Gloomy Day

Good Sunday morning friends.  I slept in today and when I woke up the sun was shining in the window.   That is a real special treat.  It hasn't been around much this past week.  It means it will be colder today but that's perfectly fine with me.  I'd rather have cold than cloudy.
Yesterday was one of those days.......we all have them once in a while.   Gloomy.....it was pouring rain most of the day, I had two sick kids, bad moods were about, and we were just stuck inside.  I did go out to the mail box though and for the first time that day I had a real smile when I opened it up.  A rainbow trailed me all the way home.  Linda sent me somthing so, so, special.
Earlier she asked me to tell her something I have imagined and she would create a pattern for me.  How fun  to have something custom made.  How talented and creative she is......just look at what she sent me.
That's my home and my family.  Our last name is on the pillow too:)  I just love the trees and the sheep.
Thanks again Linda.

When we lived in Alaska a few years ago, I found these animal bells at a local gift shop.  I scooped up what they had and waited for more designs to be put out.  They never were.  I haven't seen them anywhere else.  I tried to find them on the internet but was unsuccessful.  Does anyone know anything about them?  I would love to add some more to my collection.

Thanks for visiting.  I hope everyone has a sunny Sunday.

  1. How very special your pillow is! That Linda is truly a kind and generous friend.
Stay warm Steph! It's cold over here too, but after four days of rain I'm with you. I'll take the cold and the sun over the gloomy days.
    Blessings,

  4. Hi Steph! I used to carry those bells in my store about 6 years ago. I can't remember the name of the company off hand, but we bought them wholesale at AT Imports in Lancaster PA. There are about 50 different bells and they are darn cute! We sold tons of them. They were only $2.00 each and at that price they flew out of the store. I no longer have my bricks and morter store, but I still buy wholesale at AT Imports. I have not seen any bells there for about a year. I will look the next time I'm there and let you know what may be available.
    Have a great day!

  5. What a special gift on a gloomy day! I hope the girlies are feeling better very soon. I had K home sick two days this week too. There is just way to much creepy crud out there right now. Hopefully now that it's gotten cold..the freeze will kill alot of it off!!! Katie

  13. What a wonderful treasure Miss Linda stitched up for you...She always knows how to get to the heart of things - and touch the heart beyond measure. Love the stem stitching on the willows - and the colors coordinate so wonderfully with your couch. Sweet! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin (Yup - still and forever running behind.....)
