And of course, there are those who want to live amongst it all during the summer. Someday I would love to have a summer home here. Just like this one. It sits right on top of a hill. The picture first picture on this post, the one overlooking the valley, is the view from this house.
So, what's your favorite photograph? I love the tiny abandoned house in the snow storm, then the green and red hydrant second.

Most of you already know that Cindi was my swap partner for the Humble Heart Swap Amy just held. Well, bless Cindi's soul, even thought she was in the hospital, she had her mother package everything up and mail it to me. There were a few missed items that came later and I am so happy they did:) What wonderful stitchery I have now to display for just a week longer. Thanks again Cindi.
I have been on the lookout for Mary Poppins today. You know, when the wind blows awful something, she should be riding in on her umbrella.
Wishing you all a very blustery day:)
There you are..........I was wondering where you took off to! ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful Bear Lake. Haven't been there for a long time. Thanks for taking me along Steph. Favorite photo would be the hay rake; I wonder who the farmer was? What stories he could tell.
Wonderful swap pretties from Cindi.
Oh my, the wind today is horrible and the snow that came with not so nice either, 5" or more and the drifting on the roadways........yikes!
Bless you~
Sheila

Uhm yeah... I could handle living in that house but only if I had a maid, lol! Such a beautiful place Bear Lake is! Looks like LOTS of fun roasting marshmallows, ice fishing, sledding! Can't believe you caught that many fish, wow how fun!

ReplyDeleteWell I just read both posts and I am packing my clothes for Bear Lake. Never saw so much snow but loved it. I love the first house and every other picture. The family outing looks like it was so much fun. Your goodies from Cindi were wonderful too. It looks like not only is life good through my back door, but through yours too.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI told myself I wasn't going to do this....(comment on posts I'm just catching up on reading....) but I couldn't help myself in this case....What gloriously wonderful photos!!! Oh my HECK!!! I love each and every one of them!! But the favorites that stand out are the second (red fire hydrant), the old truck, the mountain shot (above the rake), the rake...and of course those old neglected buildings....LOVE!! You should make a series of notecards out of these and market them in Bear Lake...I bet they'd be an over-night sensation! You have many, many, gifts my friend....
ReplyDeleteSmiles & Hugs ~ Robin
