Fishing Fun~A Marathon Giveaway Winner

Finally, last weekend was warm enough and still enough to take the boat out for her first run of the season.  We were all so excited to spend the day fishing on the lake.  Here are the girls on the way to the lake.

Daddy has to rig up all the fishing poles.  Everyone is standing by.

The older ones actually got to fish virtually unsupervised.  They did pretty good managing their poles and hooks.  I did get hooked in the face though....I screamed loud enough that everyone just froze and thankfully it never got set.  No damage done.

"Baby" got a line and sinker.  She tried so hard to catch a fish.

But finally gave up to take a break instead.

"Oldest's" Rainbow.

"Middle's" Rainbow.

The scenery is beautiful to an "Idahoan"eye.

DH dropped us off on the bank for a bathroom break and a chance to wade and throw rocks.  Then went out to troll the bay by himself.

There are thousands of tiny shells for girls to take home in their pockets to be washed in the washer and smashed on the kitchen floor.

Plum tuckered.  It took a good 20 minute ride back to the dock.  The hum of the motor and the rocking of the boat put them right to sleep.

Thanks for joining in on our family fun.  Boating and fishing is a great way to bring us all together in the evenings and on the weekends.

Most of you know I ran a four day craft marathon last week.  DH was out of town for those four days and I always miss him so much when he is gone.  I knew I needed something major to keep every minute of my day filled so I would not just sit on the couch and cry.
I found myself not alone, but surrounded by many friends over those days who were running right along side to encourage me and to cheer me on.  I came out a winner because of all of you.  So, I decided to put all of the ladies names who joined me in a drawing to be the winner of my marathon.  If you commented all five days you got two entries.
I wish I could send each of you a gold medal or something:)  Just know that I appreciate each and
everyone of you so much.
But, I could only pick one and she is:

(Over The River And Through The Woods)
Janet is one of my newest blogging friends.  She is a wonderful person who lives just a hop, skip, and a jump from me.  She always reminds me of the most important things in life.  Janet, I will make you a pillow with any color fabric and graphics you like.

Thanks for visiting me today and for uplifting me.  I will be visiting you too!!

Hi Steph

I really really enjoyed reading this post. I love to see pictures of your family. You have three beautiful daughters! The picture of the youngest one taking a break is omg so cute. It seems I'm not the only woman who doesn't like to be without Significant Other. I have to admit I hate it when he's out of town for a couple of days. I'm glad he's back. If I had known we were home alone together, I would have cheered you on even more!

Congrats Janet!
Steph your fishing trip looks like so much fun. I love that the girls have pink life vests. I think it is cute that the girls didn't want much to do with their fish even when they caught them, like hold them for the picture! LOL

How sweet of you to do a giveaway! I think you are a very special person.

Have a great day!
Be blessed,
Cindi

A fun family adventure the girls will remember for a life time. I flled a jar with shells my kids collected on the beaches & added a lamp adapter to make a light when they were little. Blessings!
