The beauty of old never ceases to amaze me. I am so blessed to be able to fill my home with the things I love.
Wishing you a wonderful day filled with Patina.
P.S.~ I think Patina would be a cute name for a little girl.
pat·i·na 2 (ptn-, p-tn) also pa·tine (p-tn)
n.
1. A thin greenish layer, usually basic copper sulfate, that forms on copper or copper alloys, such as bronze, as a result of corrosion.
2. The sheen on any surface, produced by age and use.
3. A change in appearance produced by long-standing behavior, practice, or use: a face etched with a patina of fine lines and tiny wrinkles.
[Italian, from Latin, plate (from the incrustation on ancient metal plates and dishes); see paten.]

If a year ago you didn't know what patina was, I would say you're a dang quick study my friend. You have chosen some gorgeous examples....but, of all, I love "great grandfather's chair" the best. How I would love to have my great grandfather's (heck even my grandfather's or my father's) chair....What beautiful warmth and history....(Oh, and I'd be cozying up to your mum for that apothecary!!) ;o) So glad you joined the prim world, and that somehow, we found each other.... Smiles & Tuesday Hugs ~ Robin

Oh yes girl, you found some wonderful examples of patina in your home... just lovely! Patina is usually not something we notice from afar. One of the reasons I love going antiquing, is that I enjoy picking up pieces and examining them close. All antiques have a wonderful patina about them. You photographed one of my favorites to examine... wood pieces. Enjoyed your pictures~
