Hi ladies. Today I am sharing the love of my blogging friends. My blogging friends are more real to me and are more genuine that my neighbors or many of my church acquaintances. Some might sigh and say "oh, that's so sad, she's living a virtual life. Poor lady." Well, they don't know the wonderful community of awesome ladies I have stumbled upon. I wish everyone could understand the friendships that can be born through blogging and the ability it gives people across the world to connect and get to know each other. I know I was led by loving Heavenly Father to all of you. He knows everything and knew I needed these types of friendships.

Some of the most genuine and giving people have come into my life. Misi from Gable House Musings is one of them. I recently participated in her Merriment Chain and she had some games for all of us to play in the end. Needless to say I was awful at them;) I am notorious for losing any type of game. Anyway, she put my name in for the drawing anyway and I somehow won that!!!!
She special ordered the wonderful stitching from Robin over at Bird in the Hand Primitives. It represents the key (remember the big metal one hubby gave me and I told you it was the key to my heart?) to my heart that my husband holds. Awwww so sweet. After shedding a tear or two over it I hung it up in the entry way for all to see and to remind us when we come and go of the love we have in our home.
Misi also had this heart tuck sent. Isnt' it so pretty?
Misi, the sweet words you have relayed to me over the month and this gift of love has truly touched my heart and has made me want to be a better person and friend myself.

Now, for the flip side, I was volunteering at the girl's school to day as I do every Wednesday and Thursday. I love the teachers and the students and have always felt needed and appreciated there.
Recently they acquired a new staff member ( I happen to know her from a past class our children attended together 2.5 years ago), I guess she doesn't like me or my children much. I overheard her gossiping about me and my child to another lady. This really made me sad because I have been nothing but nice to her. Our children may have had some differences, but hey, that was kindergarten. What kid that age doesn't. I was determined not to let it get in the way of how I treat her though. My feelings are hurt, but I am more determined than ever to never talk about someone unless it's a positive thing. I will still be friendly and nice to her.
I also found this one and thought it fits me perfectly. I have to remind myself quite a bit that's it's ok if I am not perfect. I think it's good we can laugh at our shortcomings.

Friends and followers, I am so thankful for you today. When people are mean, it's nice to know that there is more to life and what matters most is that you see what's really important. And that's the love that others give all around you.
Have a wonderful freakin' awesome day.

Afternoon Steph, yes, I agree with the wonderful friendships we have made by blogging, I and amazed by all the great people I have meet.......Love your giveaway gifts, warms the heart, Francine.
Love the hearts! People who gossip need the gossiping to compensate for something. It's sad, but that's how it is. Don't let it get to you.
Goedele
Congratulations on your wonderful win! I agree too with everything you have said about blogging friends, they're the best! I guess there will always be people out there who like to stir up trouble but I always try and remind myself that God always knows the truth and even though it can be upsetting what others might say or do, what matters to me most is what God thinks and knows to be true.
Awesome gifts! I love Robin's designs so much! I was told that a person who gossips only does so out of jealousy and feelings of their own shortcomings - it's true. You are a much better person!
blessings to you
Christine
Are you sure we are not related? Your post reminded me so much of me. I was just thinking today about doing a post tonight on my friends and then I got kinda sad and then laughed. I don't really have that many friends. :) Now don't get me wrong, I have "friends" but I don't think too many of them would come running if I was in need. You know? I do not have a close group of girl friends like many do but like you I do have a lot of blogging friends who seem truly genuine. Friends these days can be so two faced and I too have found that out the hard way. Sorry you overheard that lady talking about you. I would kill her with kindness. Sometimes that's the best way! :) Have a good day girl!

What a huge loving heart you have to rise above this and forgive her nastiness.
We all love you out here!
The hearts are beautifully made.
Hugs,
Susan
Ms. Steph, you are so right about our blogging friends. I feel the same way about how dear my blogging friends have become and yes like you, closer to my heart than some of my friends and neighbors close by. You have a kind and loving soul and so much to offer others I can't imagine why this gal does not like you, but you are a much better person for not acting as she is. It's her loss for not having you as a friend, but friends like that no one needs.
The special gifts Misi sent you are beautiful.
Blessings,
Sheila
Love your awesome wins.
I so love our blogging friendship.
Woolie hugs

Cute comics. No matter how hard we try there is always some with a mean heart. Still being nice to her shows you have a kind heart. Blog friends are so special & caring. Yes I like blog land much better. Thankful for you and all my blog friends. Congrats on your win. So happy you continued to blog. Blessings! Lara
Hi SweetPea....remember me? :o It's been so long, but I'm so relieved you're still blogging. You scared the dickens outta me at the end of the year. As you know, I'm not doing so good on the keepin' up thing, but I'd like to think you were here when I do pop in....I mean, I know you'd be "there" for me, but I mean "here" too. :o) Wonderful gifts from Misi. It was a fun time - seems so long ago in some ways, and just yesterday in others. I wonder, at times, how that can be. Did a little catch up reading while I was here....Love the "reveries" idea.... And boo hoo, missed out on a grand giveaway. (Congrats Sandi!!!!) It's fun to see Cindi is hostessing a chain....wish I could have played - but, alas, it isn't the season for playing here... Hope all is well my friend....I think of you often. Smiles & a Whole Lotta Love ~ Robin
Well I am trying to catch up. I guess what I have to say about the people gossiping about you is 1. they may be jealous and 2 they need to grow up. Just keep the love of Christ shine through you friend, that is truly why you mean so much to so many! Thanks for being so understanding. Mom said they said it would be there Monday.
Be blessed,
Cindi
Oh Steph, I am so sorry. How mean, but my Mother always said, when they are talking about you, they are letting someone else rest. I know it hurt you more because of the little girl, than yourself. Jealous of you perhaps? LOve your prizes from Misi. She sure is talented. Chin up my girl. You are a jewel.(I am a good judge of character)lol
Hi Steph! I love the little gifties from Misi...she's so sweet. I'm so sorry about the meanie at school...but when something like that happens to me, I try to think that maybe they are hurting in some way and lash out at someone else. (Doesn't always work, but I try! ) ;) Just keep that smile going and focus on your blessings ! :) ---Jan
Sorry I accidentally erased your post: Here it is again:)
Hello Steph...I just got your update on my email and after reading it ....boy I totally get it. You know...and I am much older than you....but when I moved from my hometown to Maine 14 years ago I left
all of my friends behind and I live in a town that is so small and people seem so detached from one another even the few neighbors that we do have are so un-caring and totally un-communicative and just downright cold that if I didn't start a blog and meet new friends here on the internet .....well I would be totally alone without any interaction with others such as it is. Yes it would be wonderful to spend an afternoon out shopping with a girlfriend or a nice long walk and talk together or just sharing a cup of coffee or tea and spending time with another human being like I used to do. But because I have the internet and have made new friends here..it truly is a godsend to me. That's why I have that little saying on my blog..."I love the internet cause that's where all my friends live". No truer words were spoken. I could write a book here on how grateful I am to have the friends that I have here on my blog...but I won't do that. I just know it's a blessing to be able to come in and immediately find a friend here...we all need each other at one time or another.
Now for the other part....I worked for many years in a psychology practice and I have gotten some pretty good advice over the years that I was there and one of the things that my boss told me one day was..."Even though we may want everyone to love us there will always be some that won't". But just know that you have a majority of friends and people who do love you and care about you and that person is only one little speck in your universe. Later on when I was managing a small gift shop I used to tell my girls who worked for me....if someone/a customer is mean to you...and there will always be those kind of people you have to deal with....just look at them, smile and kill em' with kindness....they won't know what hit em'.
That's why I always feel that above all...."Kindness Matters". Hugs to you today.
Oh Steph, I feel your pain. I went through the same thing and my daughter did too. Those who are not happy in their lives lash out at the innocent. It's sad that we have to have this black mark in our lives, but I think it helps make us stronger and more compassionate towards others. You've chosen to handle your situation the right way dear :) Don't let those people get you down and know that we blog friends love you :)
What wonderful teamwork from Misi and Robin. That's a special gift you can cherish forever.
Hugs~Carol
Aw, so cute and so sweet of Misi to do that! I know what you mean about the online friendships. I know that God has brought us together. He knew that I needed this also. Hardly anyone around here understands and appreciates prims or antiques so I never get to talk about it with anyone. That's why I absolutely LOVE blogging so much and miss it terribly when life calls me away from it!
I'm proud of you for being the bigger person Steph! It's so easy to get caught up in the drama/gossiping crap without even knowing it. Being kind is the best way to go. I've always heard it said that if someone is talking smack about you and you've done nothing wrong then that just means they're jealous of you. I do believe there is truth tendency in that.
