Whole Lotta Love~ Day 4 & 5

Yesterday was one of those days.  I was not feeling a Whole Lotta Love.  It was a sad sort of disappointing day.  We all have them once in a while.  So, I turned off all outside media, took the phone off the hook, and just cleaned my little heart out.  By the end of the day I was feeling so much better.  Especially after a whole row of these.

Usually I limit myself to five and a glass of milk, but a whole row suited me just fine:)

Music has been a big part of my life.  I started piano lessons when I was 7 years old and started singing in the 7th grade.  My piano has been a best friend when I didn't have any and the songs I have been able to sing have been a healing art to my soul.  In the happiest of times you will find me singing throughout the day and in the saddest of times I can find solace in the piano.
Music can bring peace into the home and the Spirit into our lives.
It's a Whole Lotta Love.

Today I get to learn how to tune these babies.

Wishing you a wonderful music filled day.

I had the same yesterday. So yes: we all have those days. I took a lot of music classes when I was younger but I quit all of that when I was 18 years old. I don't regret it, decorating and crafting is my creative outlet now.

Hi Steph! Ahhhh, yes....It looks like a lot of us were having a blue day yesterday....I was in tears the entire day and poor Al kept asking if he did something wrong. Maybe it's the winter...just glad you are happier today. Yes...cookies help...a lot of cookies hep more...and a lot of Thin Mint cookies help the most!;) I took piano lessons when I was young too...but stopped right after I got my first horse...spent every day riding and exploring on horseback. I can still play a few songs from memory, but I wish I had stuck with it a little longer...."Drifting" gets a little old eventually!! LOL! I bet you WISH the instruments were as cheap as you see in those old ads!!----------smiles---Jan

Hi, Steph. Music is soothing, and the wonderful thing about it is that a song can conjure up a memory or feeling so strongly. We have a player piano that my parents bought for piano lessons for me when I was very young, and I remember the days when I could play the love theme from
'Romeo and Juliet', "A Time For Us". Do you remember that song? I've got a player because they thought that I would give up the lessons and they wanted a piano that would still "play"!! The old ad for the player grand piano is awesome, I wish we had that one!
I hope you're feeling a whole lot of love again soon.
Hugs,
Susan

Hi Stephanie,

I do know exactly how you feel and how music in almost any form can just soothe you and take you away for a while and make you a happier person. My daughter has been singing since she was 10 years old and has been working at making a career out of it since she finished college at Berklee in Boston. She has so many sad days too because that is her whole life...singing, performing, writing and the sad days and low points come when there is no work available. It's such a roller coaster but it's what makes her the happiest in life. Sometimes it's hard to believe that you are doing the right thing and sticking to it when everyone wants her to sing for nothing but she keeps on trying to stay strong and I hope you can stay strong too and not have too many sad days...but I have to admit...those oreo cookies can sure make the sadness go away just for a little while. Chocolate....The Quicker Picker Uppper : ) Today, I hope every little thing with you is going to be okay.

Oh yeh, you hit home there. Some good ole junk food and music are in my house in time of need. I always wanted to learn to play the piano and always love listening to it. I have to pull my hubby away from the media from time to time, because it gets him upset alot.
I'm glad your sadness passed. It always does for me with time and patience:)
