Ho Ho Ho~ Giving away Santa

I saw this tutorial on Lee Hill Primitives blog and I knew it was the one for me.  I just had to make one for myself and a few extras for fun.  I sewed up the bag and grunged it with coffee and cinnamon.  Then I fashioned the Santa stump doll out of muslin, wool, and some thick brown fabric.  You can take him out after the holidays and put whatever else you want in the pocket year round.  I have never sewn by hand much and the workmanship is not professional but I think he turned out dang cute. The last giveaway I had was so much fun that I wanted to have another one!  I am giving this one away (along with a small candle and chocolates) on Nov. 26th!!!  Just in time to start decorating for Christmas.  Ho Ho Ho.  Just follow me ~ Tell me one of your most favorite Christmas traditions ~ Post the giveaway in your sidebar if you like (that's always nice).  Thanks so much for all your visits. I enjoy getting to know everyone.

This last picture is fuzzy for some reason, but you get the idea.

I'd love a chance to win him so my fav. Christmas tradition is wrapping the gifts on Christmas Eve with my DH when the kids are asleep - hopefully! and we enjoy that spirit of Christmas and of course after all that wrapping it's fun to see how quickly the kids pull it all off!

Did someone say chocolate??? ;o) Seriously - this little ditty bag is adorable Steph...I would be honored to be entered in your giveaway! (You're putting me to shame - I can't even finish up one giveaway and here you are on another already....) I'm a follower - and delighted to be....I've posted on my sidebar...And, one of my favorite traditions (glad you said "one" not "my most")is one we started when my son was little...everyone leaves cookies for Santa, but my son was worried about a snack for Santa's reindeer. So, we started leaving carrots and such for the reindeer, along with the cookies. And wouldn't you know it, the reindeer started leaving a special gift of their own for my son in his room....one he still gets to this day....Thanks for another wonderfully fun giveaway Steph...Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Hi, Steph, your little Santa is darling! My oldest long standing tradition from my childhood is having those Pillsbury turnovers for breakfast on Christmas morning. I know it isn't anything homemade, but I loved them when I was a child, and now my son loves them too! Melinda

I am a new follower. One of my favorite Christmas traditions happens on Christmas Eve. We have done it this way for over 10 years now! Maybe longer lol. Every year the TBS channel starts showing the movie The Christmas Story on Christmas Eve. The show it over and over and over again for 24 hours straight. Well the TV stays on the whole time for this movie Marathon and the funniest thing is after we get done with eating and decorating the tree on Christmas Eve, we will sit around together and watch it over and over and over. Sometimes we sit quietly and watch and other times we are telling stories of past Christmases and laughing. We sip on mugs of hot chocolate or a hot toddie or two. We eat Christmas cookies and treats. We just enjoy being together.
I posted this on my sidebar too! I love your little Santa and would be honored to have him at my house for Christmas!
hugs,
Lynn

Hello,

I am a new follower.

One of my favourite Christmas traditions is hanging the vintage red christmas bells my grandmother used to hang in the windows of our farmhouse when I was a little girl. They blink off and on and chime. I think of her whenever I look at them.

I will post your giveaway on my blog.

Thanks,
Sue

Well silly me didn't say what my favorite Christmas tradition is....
Ever since my husband and I married, for breakfast on Christmas morning we had Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls and Orange Rolls (the ones in the round cans). Along with coffee, milk and Orange juice.
It continued throughout our children being home and still does to this day - even our youngest son has carried this on with his family for Christmas morning breakfast.
