Primitive Americana Decor

Aside from Christmas, the 4th of July is my most favorite holiday.  I love the stars and stripes, but don't want my house covered in them all year.  I bring them out after the 21st of June and they stay until the mid August.  Then I plan to decorate for my most favorite season which is Fall.  That's how it goes around here.  The house evolves with each new Season and Holiday.  I know that's how it is for most of you.  I am not sure anyone notices or cares around here though, but someday when they are older, they will appreciate how Mom is.

Each piece of decor has a story and I know exactly how it came to me.  I have had many loving friends add to my collection, a few of the items I have created by my own hands, and some have been purchased.
Man, I love prim.  What's not to love?

Thank you to all who took the time to send me wonderful Birthday wishes:)  I appreciate each and every one!
I hope you are having a wonderful summer.  Thanks for stopping by to visit.

Good morning Steph, so good to see you here this morning. Your Patriotic decor around your home looks wonderful and like many of us we have beautiful treasures from dear blogging friends gracing our homes.
We haven't been on a vacation yet this year, hopefully everything will work out so we can but I sure love the pictures of your trip that is so close to home for us. Those buffalo act as if they are the only ones around. The girls are growing quickly I see!
Think of you often.
hugs and blessings,
Sheila

Hi, Steph, I love all your 4th of July decorations. I think the rusty tin can with flowers is my favorite. The Yellowstone pictures are amazing! I was there when I was a child, but don't really remember anything. I wonder why happened to that one guy's hair?? Your girls are lovely.
Hugs,
Melinda

Hi Steph! I love all of your patriotic decor. Everything looks great. I don't have too much patriotic decor but like you, I put it out in late June and leave it out until the fall goes up. I am anxious for the fall decor to come down from the attic! Your pictures of your trip are amazing! I would love to visit that part of the country one day. Thanks for sharing!

Oh Steph Yellowstone is on my list of places to visit! Such beautiful pics! And I love your rag garland. Our 'Summer' hasn't started yet. My kids have their last day of school on Friday. They go back on Sept 1st. No trip to the US this Summer, but as you have read, we're going for Halloween.

What great pictures of Yellowstone! I wonder if the sirens scared the buffalo off or if he just sat there? Enjoy the red, white and blue- your house looks so fun!

Hi Steph! I just LOVED this post! Your Americana goodies are looking good! You certainly have the knack for displaying things nicely. Yellowstone...I have always wanted to go there...but probably will never make it. Beautiful pics ...I really felt like I had been there. There is a buffalo farm north of us and when we travel up to New York I am always stretching my neck to get a glimpse of them. The girls are as adorable as ever...I'm sure they had a great time!--hugs, Jan
